Freelancer, sole trader, or company — which Juuli account is right for you?

Juuli offers four account types. The right one depends on how you work, whether you have a registered business, and what you need from your payment account. Here's a plain-English guide.

Personal Account

For individuals who want a European IBAN for everyday life — receiving transfers, sending money, spending with a Visa card — with no business context.

You get: → A dedicated EUR IBAN in your own name → A Visa debit card — virtual and physical → SEPA and SWIFT transfers

You don't get invoicing, business features, or a company-name IBAN. If you earn as an independent professional, the Freelancer account is a better fit.

Freelancer Account

For independent professionals who work without a registered company and need to invoice clients.

You get everything in Personal, plus: → Invoicing via Merchant of Record — Juuli issues legally compliant invoices on your behalf, in your name → VAT collection and tax compliance handling across 50+ countries → Payments from clients in 15+ currencies, settled to your IBAN within minutes

No company registration needed — ever. Juuli acts as the legal entity for invoicing, so you don't have to.

Sole Trader Account

For registered individual business owners — Estonian OÜ holders, UK sole traders, Italian ditte individuali, and similar — who need a business IBAN in their company's name.

You get: → A business EUR IBAN registered in your company's name → Visa debit cards for business spending → SEPA and SWIFT transfers

Invoicing is coming soon for Sole Trader accounts.

Company Account

For incorporated businesses — LTDs, GmbHs, SARLs, and others — that need a fast, digital-first EUR payment account with team card management.

You get: → A business EUR IBAN in your company's name → Multiple Visa debit cards for team members → SEPA and SWIFT transfers

Invoicing is coming soon for Company accounts.
