My business verification was rejected — here's what to do next
A rejected KYB is frustrating — but it doesn't always mean you can't open an account. Here's how to understand what happened and what your options are.
Check your rejection email first
When a KYB application is declined, we send an email explaining the reason. Read it carefully — it will tell you whether a specific document was missing or unacceptable, additional information is needed, or the application cannot proceed due to compliance reasons.
Common reasons for KYB rejection
Document issues
- Expired or invalid business registration documents
- Documents in a language other than English without certified translation
- Missing pages (e.g. incomplete articles of association)
- Illegible or low-quality scans
UBO / ownership issues
- UBO information is incomplete or inconsistent
- ID documents for one or more UBOs are missing
- Ownership structure could not be verified
Eligibility issues
- Your business type or country is not currently supported
- Your business activity falls outside our acceptable use policy
What to do next
- Read the rejection email — identify the specific reason
- Gather corrected or missing documents — address the issue directly
- Contact our support team — reply to the rejection email or reach out directly. We'll confirm whether reapplication is possible and what's needed
Can I reapply?
In many cases, yes — particularly where the issue was a document problem. Our support team will confirm your eligibility for reapplication.
