How to create and send a professional invoice through Juuli

With a Juuli Freelancer account you can create a fully compliant invoice for your client and let us handle the tax and legal side. Because Juuli acts as the Merchant of Record on these invoices, VAT and invoice legality are taken care of for you, so you can focus on getting paid.

Good to know: Invoicing is currently available for Freelancer accounts. Invoicing for Sole Trader and Company accounts is coming soon.

Before you start

Make sure your Freelancer account is open and your identity check is complete.
Have your client's details ready (name, email and address).
Know the amount, currency and a short description of the work delivered.

Create your invoice

Log in at app.juuli.com and open the Invoicing section.
Select Create invoice and add your client's details.
Add one or more line items describing the work, with the amount and currency. You can invoice in 15+ currencies across many countries.
Choose who pays the small service fee — you or your client. The Merchant of Record service fee is 4.5% per invoice.
Review everything, then save the invoice as a draft or finalize it.

Send it to your client

Once you finalize an invoice, it is briefly reviewed and then sent to your client by email on your behalf. Your client receives a professional, legally valid invoice and can approve and pay it securely.

Track the payment

You can follow each invoice through its stages — from finalized, to sent, to approved by your client, to paid — directly in the Invoicing dashboard. When the payment is received, the funds appear in your Juuli Invoices balance under Invoices → Balance. From there choose Withdraw Money to send them to your own bank account (add one under Settings → Payout Settings) — you do not need a Juuli IBAN to get paid through invoicing.
