What documents do I need to sign up for Juuli?
To open a Juuli account, you need to verify your identity. The exact documents depend on your account type and country of residence.
For all accounts — Identity verification (KYC)
Every Juuli account requires a valid government-issued ID document. Accepted documents include:
- Passport — accepted from all supported countries
- National ID card — accepted from EU/EEA countries and most others
- Residence permit — accepted in select countries
Your document must be:
- Valid (not expired)
- Physically in your possession — digital-only IDs are not accepted
- Clear and undamaged — blurry or cropped photos will be rejected

For Business accounts — Company verification (KYB)
If you're opening a Sole Trader or Company account, you'll also need to provide business documents. Requirements vary by business type:
Sole Traders
- Business registration certificate
- Proof of your registered business address
Companies
- Certificate of incorporation
- Articles of association
- UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owner) declaration
- ID documents for all UBOs with 25%+ ownership

For Freelancer accounts
No company documents required. KYC (identity verification only) is sufficient to activate a Freelancer account.
What format should documents be in?
- Clear photo or scan — no blurring, glare, or cropping
- All four corners of the document visible
- Colour preferred; black and white may be accepted for some document types
- Accepted file formats: JPG, PNG, PDF
