Why is my Juuli transfer delayed — and what can I do?

Most Juuli transfers move quickly, but a few normal factors can add some time. Here is what usually causes a delay and the simple steps you can take to help your transfer arrive.

Common reasons a transfer takes longer

  • Transfer network and timing. SEPA payments within the EEA settle on business days and can take up to one to two working days. SWIFT (international) transfers typically take longer and may pass through intermediary institutions.
  • Weekends and holidays. Payment networks do not process on weekends or public holidays, so a transfer started late on a Friday may only complete the next working day.
  • Currency conversion. If your transfer involves a different currency, a foreign-exchange step is added before it is sent. We apply transparent, competitive FX at the time of conversion.
  • Verification still in progress. Your IBAN and card become active the moment your identity check (KYC) is approved. If verification is still under review, outgoing transfers may be held until it clears.
  • Routine security or compliance checks. As a regulated platform, transfers may occasionally be reviewed for your protection. These checks are standard and usually clear without any action from you.
  • Incorrect or incomplete recipient details. A mistyped IBAN, name mismatch, or missing reference can cause a transfer to be paused or returned.

SWIFT — from 1 September 2026 — international (SWIFT) transfers are not yet active; they are launching on 1 September 2026. For a SWIFT payment, please contact us at support@juuli.com.

Outgoing payment "in review" — how long it takes

Most SEPA transfers you send arrive quickly, usually via SEPA Instant. Occasionally an outgoing payment is placed under a manual review as a routine security and compliance step. This does not happen to every transfer, and how often it applies depends on your account's risk profile — it typically eases over time.

  • If we do not need to ask you anything, the transfer is completed within one business day.
  • If we ask you a question about the payment, the timing then depends on your reply — once you respond, the transfer is approved within 1 to 5 business days.

You do not need to do anything unless we contact you. Check your email (including spam) for any question from us, and reply promptly to keep things moving. Juuli will never ask for your password or one-time PIN to "release" a payment.

Transfers that are usually instant

Payments between two Juuli accounts are handled on our internal ledger and arrive instantly, so they are not affected by SEPA or SWIFT timing.

What you can do

  1. Open the Juuli app and check the transfer status on your dashboard — many transfers marked as processing simply have not finished settling yet.
  2. Confirm the recipient's IBAN, name, and any reference are correct.
  3. Check that your account verification is complete in Settings.
  4. Allow for weekends, holidays, and SWIFT timelines before treating it as stuck.

If a SEPA transfer has not arrived after two working days, or a SWIFT transfer after a few working days, contact our support team with the transfer date and amount so we can look into it.

A note on safety

Juuli will never ask for your password or your one-time PIN code. If anyone requests these to "release" a transfer, do not share them and tell us right away.
