How much does a SWIFT transfer cost — and how long does it take?
⏳ From 1 September 2026 — SWIFT (international) transfers are not yet active; they are launching on 1 September 2026. This article explains how they will work once available. In the meantime, if you need to send or receive an international payment, please contact us at support@juuli.com.
SWIFT is the network used for international payments outside the SEPA zone — typically transfers in currencies other than the euro or to and from payment accounts outside the EEA. Here is what a SWIFT transfer costs on Juuli and how long it usually takes.
SWIFT transfer fees by plan
Your fee depends on your plan. Incoming and outgoing SWIFT transfers are priced separately:
| Plan | SWIFT incoming | SWIFT outgoing |
|---|---|---|
| Freemium | 1% | €25 + 1% |
| Pro (€19/mo) | Free | €25 |
| Max (€29/mo) | Free | €10 |
A few things worth knowing:
- On the Pro and Max plans, incoming SWIFT transfers are received free of charge.
- On Freemium, the percentage fee applies to the transfer amount, so the cost scales with the size of the payment.
- If the payment involves a currency conversion, a transparent FX markup is applied to the exchange rate. There is no separate setup or activation fee.
How long does a SWIFT transfer take?
SWIFT payments pass through one or more correspondent institutions in the network, so they take longer than same-currency SEPA transfers. As a general guide, most SWIFT transfers settle within 1–5 business days. Timing can vary depending on the currency, the destination region, intermediary processing, and local cut-off times or public holidays.
You can follow the status of each transfer in your dashboard at app.juuli.com.
How to keep costs lower
- For payments within the SEPA zone in euro, use a SEPA transfer instead — it is cheaper and faster.
- If you send international transfers regularly, the Pro or Max plan can reduce or remove SWIFT fees and quickly offset the monthly cost.
