What is a Juuli Personal account — and what can I do with it?

A payment account for everyday money

A Juuli Personal account is an individual payment account built for managing your own money — receiving funds, paying for things, and keeping your balance in one place. It comes with a dedicated IBAN and at least one Visa card, so you can get paid and spend straight away.

Juuli is a regulated platform, not a bank. The underlying e-money and payment services are provided by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited, an Electronic Money Institution authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland (firm reference C187865). Your money is held as e-money, kept separate from Juuli's own funds.

What you can do with it

  • Receive payments into your own IBAN via SEPA (SWIFT — from 1 September 2026).
  • Hold a multi-currency balance and convert between currencies with transparent FX pricing.
  • Spend with a virtual Visa card — created instantly — or order a physical card to use anywhere Visa is accepted.
  • Freeze and unfreeze any card from the app whenever you need to.
  • Send money out by SEPA to the 20 eurozone countries (SWIFT — from 1 September 2026), and move funds between Juuli accounts instantly.
  • Download statements and export your transaction history from your dashboard.

SWIFT — from 1 September 2026 — international (SWIFT) transfers are not yet active; they are launching on 1 September 2026. For a SWIFT payment, please contact us at support@juuli.com.

Getting started

Opening a Personal account is free — there is no setup, activation, or joining fee. Once you complete identity verification (KYC), which usually takes just a few minutes, your IBAN and Visa card are activated immediately and you can start using them right away.

Where a Juuli IBAN account and Visa card are available: only when you live in — or, for a business, are registered in — one of these 20 EEA countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. Other EEA countries — for example Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Czechia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway — are not eligible for a Juuli IBAN or Visa card yet. Freelancers anywhere in the world can still invoice their clients through Juuli's Merchant of Record.

Is it the right account for me?

Personal accounts are for managing your own money as an individual. If you invoice clients or run a business, you may want a Freelancer, Sole Trader, or Company account instead.
