Are there limits on my Juuli Personal account? Transfers, balances & more
Good news: your Juuli Personal account is built for everyday use, and most people will never bump into a limit. Here is a clear, honest overview of what to expect so there are no surprises.
Balances
Your Personal account holds a multi-currency balance, so you can keep and receive funds in more than one currency. There is no minimum balance to maintain, and no charge for simply holding money in your account. When you convert between currencies, a transparent FX margin applies to the exchange rate.
Transfers
You can send and receive SEPA (euro) transfers — outgoing SEPA can currently be sent only to the 20 eurozone countries — with SWIFT (international) transfers launching 1 September 2026. Transfers between two Juuli accounts settle instantly, because they move through our internal ledger rather than an external payment rail.
Any practical limits on a single transfer come from standard safety and verification checks rather than a fixed published cap. For larger or unusual movements, a payment may be held briefly for review, or we may ask for a quick confirmation, to keep your account secure. Your transfer fees depend on your plan:
| Transfer type | Freemium | Pro | Max |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEPA incoming | 0.50% | Free | Free |
| SEPA outgoing | 0.50% | First 10/mo free, then €2 | First 30/mo free, then €0.50 |
| SWIFT incoming | 1% | Free | Free |
| SWIFT outgoing | €25 + 1% | €25 | €10 |
⏳ SWIFT — from 1 September 2026 — international (SWIFT) transfers are not yet active; they are launching on 1 September 2026. For a SWIFT payment, please contact us at support@juuli.com.

Cards
The number of cards you can hold depends on your plan. Freemium includes 1 virtual card; Pro includes 5 virtual and 1 physical card; Max includes 15 virtual and 3 physical cards. You can add extra cards at any time for a small one-time fee, and you can freeze or unfreeze any card instantly in the app.

Where Juuli works
Where a Juuli IBAN account and Visa card are available: only when you live in — or, for a business, are registered in — one of these 20 EEA countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. Other EEA countries — for example Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Czechia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway — are not eligible for a Juuli IBAN or Visa card yet. Freelancers anywhere in the world can still invoice their clients through Juuli's Merchant of Record.
Your IBAN and Visa card are activated as soon as your identity check (KYC) is approved — usually within minutes.
A quick note on safety
Juuli is a regulated platform, not a bank. E-money and payment services are provided by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited, an Electronic Money Institution authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland (firm reference C187865). Any review of a transfer is simply part of keeping your money safe and meeting our compliance duties.
