How to get your Juuli virtual Visa card (ready in minutes)
⏳ From 1 August 2026 — Juuli cards can be topped up only from your Juuli account balance; topping up a card directly from an external bank account will no longer be available.
What you get
Your Juuli virtual Visa card is a digital Visa debit card with its own balance — you fund it by topping it up from your Juuli account or an external bank account. It works instantly for online purchases and can be added to your mobile wallet for in-store payments — no waiting for anything to arrive in the post. Card services are provided through our regulated e-money partner (Stripe Technology Europe, Limited, authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland).
Before you start
To issue a card, your identity needs to be verified. Two quick conditions:
- Your identity check (KYC) is approved. This is usually automatic and takes just a few minutes.
Where a Juuli IBAN account and Visa card are available: only when you live in — or, for a business, are registered in — one of these 20 EEA countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. Other EEA countries — for example Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Czechia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway — are not eligible for a Juuli IBAN or Visa card yet. Freelancers anywhere in the world can still invoice their clients through Juuli's Merchant of Record.
Once your KYC is approved, your account and your first virtual card become active right away.
Step-by-step
- Log in at app.juuli.com and go to the Cards section.
- Select Create card and choose Virtual.
- Give your card a name (handy if you plan to keep separate cards for different subscriptions or expenses).
- Confirm — your virtual card is created instantly and shown as active.
You can now view the full card number, expiry date and CVC in-app. Before you can spend, top up your card — see How to top up your Juuli card. You can also add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
How many virtual cards are included
The number of virtual cards included depends on your plan. Extra virtual cards can be added for a one-time fee:
| Plan | Virtual cards included | Extra virtual card |
|---|---|---|
| Freemium | 1 | €5 |
| Pro | 5 | €2 |
| Max | 15 | €1 |
There is no setup, activation or joining fee on any plan, and extra-card charges are one-time only — there is nothing monthly to renew.
The cards included in your plan are free. If you delete an included card and create another within your plan’s allowance, there is no charge — the one-time fee applies only to extra cards beyond your included number.
Staying in control
You can freeze or unfreeze any virtual card instantly from the app whenever you like — for example, to pause a card between purchases. If you ever suspect a card has been compromised, freeze it in-app and let us know at support@juuli.com. Juuli will never ask you for your password or a security code.
