Sending and receiving international payments as a Juuli freelancer

Your Juuli Freelancer account comes with a dedicated IBAN and a multi-currency balance, so you can get paid by clients and send money across borders from one place. Juuli is a regulated platform, not a bank — your payment and e-money services are provided by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited, an Electronic Money Institution authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland (firm reference C187865).

Receiving payments

Once your identity check (KYC) is approved, your IBAN account is active instantly and ready to receive funds.

  • Share your IBAN details with a client to receive a SEPA (euro) transfer.
  • Receive international transfers via SWIFT in supported currencies (SWIFT — from 1 September 2026).
  • Incoming funds in another currency are converted into your balance with a transparent, competitive FX rate.

SWIFT — from 1 September 2026 — international (SWIFT) transfers are not yet active; they are launching on 1 September 2026. For a SWIFT payment, please contact us at support@juuli.com.

If you invoice clients through Juuli, payments flow into your Juuli Invoices balance, and you withdraw them to your own bank account (Invoices → Balance) — no Juuli IBAN is needed to get paid through invoicing.

Sending payments

You can send outgoing payments straight from your balance: SEPA transfers to the 20 eurozone countries (the only destinations you can currently send to), or SWIFT transfers for other destinations. Transfers between two Juuli accounts settle instantly and free of charge, because they move on our internal ledger rather than external rails.

Transfer fees by plan

Incoming and outgoing transfer fees depend on your plan. There is no setup, activation or joining fee on any plan.

Freemium Pro Max
SEPA incoming 0.50% Free Free
SEPA outgoing 0.50% First 10/month free, then €2 First 30/month free, then €0.50
SWIFT incoming 1% Free Free

Currency conversions apply a transparent FX markup on top of the transfer fee.

Where Juuli works

Juuli invoicing (Merchant of Record) is available to freelancers worldwide — across the EEA, the UK, and the rest of the world. A Juuli IBAN and Visa card require EEA residency; outside the EEA your account is invoicing-only — but invoicing always pays out to your own bank account. Wherever your account is based, your clients can pay you from many countries worldwide through your invoices.

Staying secure

For your protection, sensitive actions are confirmed with a one-time PIN sent to your registered email address. Juuli will never ask for your password or 2FA code — if anything looks suspicious, contact support straight away.
