How to close your Juuli Business account
If you no longer need your Juuli Business account (Sole Trader or Company), you can request to close it directly from the app. This guide walks you through what to do before you close, the steps to follow, and what happens afterwards.
Before you close your account
Closing is permanent, so it is worth taking a few minutes to wrap things up first:
- Withdraw your remaining balance. Transfer any funds in your payment account out to an external IBAN before you start. Once an account is closed, your IBAN account is closed too.
- Some funds may be held briefly. After closure, part of your balance may be locked to cover potential chargebacks or SEPA recalls or returns on payments you have received. Any balance due to you is released once that risk has passed.
- Settle anything in progress. Make sure there are no pending incoming or outgoing transfers and no open invoices that still need to be paid or collected.
- Download what you need to keep. Export your transaction history and download any statements you may need later for your records or tax filing.
- Freeze or stop using your cards. Any virtual or physical cards tied to the account will stop working once it is closed.

How to close your account
- Log in to your account at app.juuli.com.
- Go to Settings → Security and, under Delete Account, select Close Your Account.
- Confirm your request. For your security, you will be asked to enter your password to verify it is really you.
- Submit the request to complete the closure.
When you confirm, we cancel any active subscription on your plan, close your IBAN account, and sign you out of all active sessions. You will receive a confirmation email at your registered address once the closure is complete.
What happens after closing
- Your account and cards are deactivated and can no longer be used.
- Your subscription is cancelled, so you will not be charged going forward.
- As a regulated platform, we are required to retain certain records for a legally mandated period even after your account is closed. This is a compliance obligation and does not keep your account active.
Juuli is not a bank. Payment and e-money services are provided by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited, an Electronic Money Institution authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland (firm reference C187865).
Changed your mind?
If you would like to keep your account but stop paying a monthly fee instead, you can switch to a different plan rather than closing. If you only want to pause activity, simply leaving the account inactive is also an option.
